Juan Varilla was born in Madrid in 1960. His pictorial activity takes place in three cities:
Fuenlabrada, as an active member of the Cultural Association Magenta
Madrid, as an integral disciple of Antonio Escobar Workshop
Santa Maria Tietar where researches and has his studio painting
In a previous self-phase, begun in full Movement in the late 70s and early 80s (during which Varilla collaborated with illustrators such as Pirate and Pope, in fanzines as Arcaduz, The Tripe and The Pirate Fanzine) passes to a period of \"creative silence\" during the \'90s, in addition to taking some matters of physics at the Open University, serves as Technical Advisor to the Prime Minister and embarks on a series of business ventures with mixed results during the implementation and expansion initial Internet in Spain since 1995.
Since 2000, he decided to start his artistic training. From 2004 he studied with Evaristo Palacios in Fuenlabrada (until 2007) and Antonio Escobar in Madrid. Concurrent with these studies workshops led by artists such as Michael Recupero (Landscape Oil), Paco Segovia (Urban perspective), Juan Manuel Fernández Pinedo (traditional oil portrait) or recently Aurelio Rodríguez López (Pastel Portrait) and Cristobal Toral.
The last lines of the painter\'s artistic research are reflections at the interface between figuration and abstraction. A look legitimate, other than scientific, on the origin and evolution of life from geological environments and physical processes that influenced the subject: Interactions that led to the semi-living or imaginary structures that constitute the reasons \"prebiotic \". Selected from among these, the works in the series called dendrites were presented for the first time in its entirety by Gaudí in ST-ART Gallery (Strasbourg, 2012) and now CEART (Fuenlabrada, 2014) re-appear in public.
Fluid Dynamics brings nature to art. The involvement of light in painting procedures alters the perception of the work. The results of these investigations (could only be picked up by the camera) were collected primarily during procedures called \"Fluid\" and \"Photon\". Subsequent manipulation of these images, scanned, resulting in the \"FiDi\" works that transmute between the Physical and Digital in a recursive feedback process, until obtain a certain aesthetic appeal.
A set of these digital images was in the 2013 picture book \"Paints and Alchemy Works\" and was selectively printed on substrates such as canvas, aluminum plates and sheets of Perspex. The current exhibition, \"The Forge Liquid\" is a sample of that work over two years: Exposure arises from the book.
The current lack of hardware originals took the next step in this line of work: The preparation is not virtual. Following the successful teachers teaching a synthesis imposed (not renounce learned) to seek convergence between figurative and expressionistic ways photorealistic on a physical medium capable of containing both. That merge harmoniously with the link provided by the Chiaroscuro cake. It was, in short, to achieve peaceful coexistence of two extreme styles: The impact of the filling, wisely matérico, Escobar, the gentle softness of sfumato on Rodriguez. This challenge is today announcing the new venture: The new interface construction.
